RAEX
RAEX
Hardened steel has excellent toughness and durability. Raex hardening steels are resistant to wear and surface pressure. The application of this steel grade in the manufacturing process will increase its service life, reduce the wear of structural parts and save costs. Due to the high strength steel Raex can be used in the products manufacturing, light weight and elegant shape with a large energy saving. This brand of steel makes it possible to create an innovative and environmentally safe products. Raex steels respond well to welding, bending and cutting.
Fields of application
Plate and the leading edges for the scoops of earth-moving machines
Wearing parts of mining equipment
Wearing parts of concrete plants and wood technology
Platform
Feeders and hoppers
Description of the steel grade
Raex 300, Raex 400, Raex 450 and Raex 500 wear-resistant hardened steel. Numeric designation indicates the average Brinell hardness of 300, 400, 450 and 500 HBW.
Tolerances on dimensions and shape
Plate
The thickness of the EN 10029 Class A. The width and length EN 10029. Flatness EN 10029, Class N normal tolerances for flatness, steel type H.
Sheets
Thickness, width and length EN 10051. Flatness EN 10029 Class N, steel type H.
Abrasive wear
Martensitic microstructure is resistant to abrasion steel ensures high hardness and tensile strength. The hardness of steel Raex 500 more than three times the strength of structural steel S355, Raex 450 - almost three times and Raex 400 - two and a half times. High hardness and tensile strength for high resistance to abrasion. High wear resistance is the most important consideration for selecting these steels.
Tests
Brinell hardness is measured according to standard EN ISO 6506-1 at a distance of 0.3 - 2 mm from the surface of steel. Depth measurement is determined by the thickness and type of product.
Surface quality
EN 10163-2 Class A3. Not allowed to conduct the repair welding of thick plates.
The process of training sheets (Dead Flat)
Sheets made of hardened steel at the plant are Raex training (DF), this procedure is a reduction in cold sheet. Removed the residual stresses in the steel provides higher flatness. This makes it easier to control the process of welding of the sheet. When cutting sheets, previous training (DF), there is a high flatness. Thus, before the subsequent processing steps of sheets correction is required. Flat and with residual stresses sheet reduces the cycle time to process sheet metal. The information about the training of the sheet is made of a quality certificate.
