GRINDING AND POLISHING OF METAL
Grinding and polishing of metal
Grinding is the final process of metal processing. Achieved by contact with the abrasive surface of the treated metal and subsequent removal of ultrafine layer. Polishing is distinguished by the quality of the workpiece and the grinding work types. We offer all kinds of grinding work on reliable machines - from simple grinding to complex and unusual problems. Basically, grinding is a mechanical surface treatment of metal to remove substantial irregularities before polishing. Depending on the hardness of metal products we use different grinding abrasives of various artificial or natural origin.
Polished metal surface assumes the final alignment. With its help we achieve uniformity and purity of the metal surface and the shine and gloss. Polished surface becomes really smooth. The most careful polishing of the metal with an ultra fine abrasive gives the effect of the mirror surface.
There are many different methods of polishing metals. The most common ones are the following: mechanical, chemical and electrochemical. At the same time polishing of certain metals has some nuances. For example, polishing stainless steel, because of its high viscosity and hardness, low thermal conductivity, is the most time-consuming operation in any method of work. However to polish products from non-ferrous metals is much more easy polished. To furnish them you need a small number of transactions and a lot less time.
